Note
  • Substitutions: Chicken thighs work great (add 5–8 minutes). Maple syrup can swap for honey. No fresh beans? Use frozen (no thawing needed, add 5 minutes). Asparagus or broccoli florets also roast beautifully here. Short on time? Swap the homemade glaze for ¼ cup store-bought balsamic glaze plus 1 minced garlic clove.
  • Storage: Keep chicken and beans in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Freeze cooked chicken (without beans) up to 3 months; green beans turn mushy in the freezer, so eat those fresh.
  • Reheating: Warm in a 300°F oven for 10–12 minutes, or microwave in 30-second bursts with a splash of water so the chicken stays juicy.
  • Make-Ahead: Whisk the glaze up to 3 days ahead and refrigerate. Trim the green beans 2 days ahead. Marinate the chicken in the glaze up to 12 hours ahead for even deeper flavor — perfect for busy mornings.
